Privacy Policy

We design LinkCheckerAI with privacy-by-architecture. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it (including SAFERN rewards and surveys), and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Who we are

LinkCheckerAI is a safety tool that helps you check links, use an extra safety gate (interstitial) before opening risky destinations, report threats, and earn in-app rewards called “SAFERN”. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

The Service is operated by Safienta Solutions Private Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in India and headquartered in Tamil Nadu.

For privacy or data protection questions you can contact us at privacy@linkcheckerai.com. For general support, billing, or account questions you can contact support@linkcheckerai.com.

2. What we collect

We focus on collecting the minimum data necessary to operate LinkCheckerAI:

  • Account data – email address, password hash, and basic profile data (for example, display name or country where configured) when you create an account.
  • Session and device data – browser type, operating system, approximate location (for example, country/city level), device identifiers, and basic technical logs used to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and understand performance.
  • Usage data – actions you take in the product (for example, link checks, interstitial usage, referrals, contest participation, survey participation, rewards earned).
  • Link safety data – when you submit a link to be checked, we process that URL to evaluate risk. We store a redacted or hashed form of the URL plus associated safety signals for security analytics, model improvements, fraud detection and abuse prevention. We do not expose live, clickable malicious links in the UI.
  • Survey and referral data – limited information we receive from survey partners or referral flows (for example, completion status, reward eligibility, fraud flags, approximate geo/segment) so that we can correctly credit SAFERN and enforce anti-abuse rules. We do not receive the full contents of your survey answers from partners.
  • Cookies and local storage – we use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you logged in, apply rate limits, and remember your preferences. Optional cookies/analytics are only used where legally allowed and, where required, only with your consent.

We do not want or intentionally collect sensitive personal information in free-text fields. Please redact personal data from anything you paste or submit to us (for example, do not include Aadhaar, PAN, full addresses, passwords, card details, or similar).

3. How we use your data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the core LinkCheckerAI service – run link safety checks, show interstitial safety gates, and present verdicts and educational safety information.
  • Maintain your account and SAFERN-related features – keep your profile, SAFERN balance, leaderboards, referrals and contest participation accurate and up to date.
  • Connect you to third-party survey providers – handle survey eligibility, track completion status and apply appropriate SAFERN rewards using callbacks from survey partners.
  • Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents – including suspicious activity such as automated traffic, fake survey completions, or abusive referrals.
  • Improve our models and features in a privacy-preserving way – using redacted, hashed or aggregated data wherever possible instead of raw URLs or identifiers.
  • Communicate with you – for example, about security, changes to this policy, product updates, contests, or service-related notifications.

4. SAFERN, rewards and contests

  • SAFERN is an in-app reward unit only. It is not currency, does not represent money, and has no guaranteed cash value.
  • Your SAFERN balance and reward history are recorded so that we can show your activity and apply valid credits from link checks, contests, survey completions and referrals according to our rules.
  • Where we experiment with gift rewards, launch contests or benefits (for example, ad-light modes or promotional prizes), these are always subject to additional terms, eligibility checks, and verification before any prize is confirmed.
  • We may show leaderboards or contests using pseudonymized identifiers or display names, rather than full personal details, to protect your privacy.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies as follows:

  • Strictly necessary – cookies or storage needed for login sessions, security, rate-limiting and basic settings. You cannot opt out of these without breaking the service.
  • Preferences – for example, theme, language or UI settings stored in local storage.
  • Performance and analytics – where enabled and legally permitted, we may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregated usage trends and improve performance.
  • Advertising – if we place ads, we aim to use privacy-respecting providers and configurations that limit tracking and avoid selling your personal data. Where required, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies.

6. Third-party survey and ad partners

LinkCheckerAI integrates with third-party survey and offerwall providers so you can earn SAFERN by participating in surveys. Examples include BitLabs, TheoremReach, Unity, TapResearch and similar partners.

  • When you participate in surveys, you are interacting directly with those providers. Their own privacy policies and terms apply to their platforms and questions.
  • We typically share only a pseudonymous user identifier, approximate location (for example, country), device and basic segment information, plus the reward amounts needed to operate the surveys and apply SAFERN on completion. We do not share your password and we do not intentionally share your email or phone number with survey providers.
  • We do not receive your full survey responses from these partners. We usually receive completion status, fraud flags and reward eligibility signals.
  • We may show ads in certain areas of the app (for example, around survey walls or leaderboards). Ads help keep the service free. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.

8. Data sharing

We may share data with:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers – to operate the app, databases, storage, logging, and security services under appropriate data processing terms.
  • Survey and rewards partners – as described above, only as necessary to provide survey offers, validate completions, credit SAFERN and prevent abuse.
  • Payment providers – if you make any subscription or paid purchases, we share only the data required to process payment and manage billing, subject to their own terms.
  • Analytics and monitoring services – where used, typically in an aggregated or pseudonymized form to track performance and reliability.
  • Authorities, regulators or legal advisors – where required to comply with law, enforce our terms, respond to legal process, or protect our rights and the safety of users.

We do not sell your personal data.

9. Data retention

We keep your data only for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or protect our legitimate interests (for example, fraud investigations), and then delete or anonymize it where possible.

  • Account and SAFERN data – retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting, dispute resolution and fraud prevention, in line with applicable laws.
  • Scan records and link safety signals – typically retained for a limited period sufficient for caching, threat detection and abuse control, and may be kept longer in aggregated or anonymized form for security analytics.
  • Survey/completion logs – stored for the time needed to process rewards, handle disputes with survey partners and enforce anti-fraud rules.
  • Audit and security logs – retained for a limited period consistent with legal and operational requirements, then rotated or anonymized.

10. Security

  • Encryption in transit and principle of least privilege for internal access controls.
  • Short-lived tokens and session management to reduce risk of account takeover.
  • Data minimization and redaction of live links in the UI to avoid exposing full malicious URLs.
  • Isolation of components (for example, single-responsibility Lambdas) and audit logging where enabled.
  • CAPTCHA and other anti-abuse mechanisms on sign-in, sign-up and key flows to reduce fraud.

No security system is perfect, but we continuously improve our controls and monitoring in line with industry practices and applicable regulations.

11. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal and security exceptions.
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing (for example, analytics or marketing where based on legitimate interests).
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (this will not affect processing already carried out).
  • Port your data where technically feasible and applicable under law.

You can exercise many of these rights through the app (for example, by updating settings or closing your account) or by contacting us at privacy@linkcheckerai.com. We may need to verify your identity before we can respond to your request.

12. Children

LinkCheckerAI is not intended for children below the minimum age required by local law for using online services. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will take steps to delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect improvements, new features (including new survey partners), or regulatory changes. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top, and where required, we will provide a clear notice in the app or by email.
